loss of SMDR configuration after sometime with Norstar MICS ??

Hi all

Our customer is running Norstar MICS system, we have set to him SMDR with SW accounting program and it work good.

The problem is after sometime (1 week) the configuration stored on SMDR was lossed (Bite rate 96000, Format Norstar...etc) then we reconfigure it as before but it loss the configuration again.

we have disable the Menu access through (Feature 9*2) by using AT commands of SMDR but we got the same issue.

We have change the SMDR device....the problem is still here.


Please what can cause this issue ?

My only guess is that the memory capacitor (battery) on these units is very weak or dead, so the configuration is defaulted any time the power is interrupted. It's easily replaced if you're handy with a soldering iron.

thanks for your reply, but we have already change the SMDR device by new one then we got the same issue.

I have no idea what can cause this issue.

Did you also change the power supply with the SMDR? Make sure it's the correct voltage for your unit. If this is OK I'd try changing the digital port connected to the SMDR.

Yes we have change the Power Supply also...but for the digital port no...we have not change it...
the digital port can cause the problem ?
