Until last night I was running a Celeron II 600 @ 900mhz. At this time I was playing Half-Life at 30-50fps. I was getting a lot of freezing and errors etc in windows so I decided to put it back to 600mhz. I formatted and reinstalled Windows and Halflife and now when I play it I get 4-10fps! I have a Geforce 2 MX 32meg vid card and 256 ram and I shouldn't be getting this low of a framerate!
I've also noticed that my whole computer in general is running fairly slowly. It's not just Half-Life. When I'm playing an mp3 and installing something at the same time everything is very slow and the music skips a lot. Maybe it's something that I did wrong when I changed the processor back to it's original speed? When you change it back you just have to change the bus speed on the mobo back to 66 and change the voltage on the converter card back to 1.5v right? Did I do something wrong here?
Can anyone help me out here please? Thanks a lot!!
