I have a section of text in a report that lists some terms of reference with "alphabetical listing".

EG -

a.) TextTextText
b.) TextTextText
c.) TextTextText
d.) TextTextText

The text displays fine in the RPT file and is fine when I export to PDF, but when I export to WORD or RICH TEXT - I lose all the a.), b.), c.), d.) text.

I'm guessing that this is because WORD doesn't recognize it unless you use the "numbering" function within WORD.

Any ideas on how to get around this problem....?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm not allowed to install software here, so I'll have to pass the hotfixes on to the support team at the office.

The a-d identifiers are created as TEXT. It's a legal header section that I re-typed from a piece of paper.

The problem exists when I EXPORT to RTF or DOC formats...

Hello all,

I would like to expand on this issue of "disappearing text". I have Crystal Reports 9 loaded and run a report that I export to RTF formatted file. Some of the text displayed from a blob/memo field is lost or disappears in the exported RTF file (all other normal string fields and graphic characters print fine/as expected). I see this when I print a report from both CR9 and when I load the RTF file in Word. Two of the last lines of my report are missing in the RTF exported file.

I have noticed that this is identified as a known issue with CR8.5 and can be found at CD Knowledgebase (Article c2010875) or Track ID ADAPT00059348. It mentions to use the hot fix as a solution. But they say this fix is for CR8.5 and not CR9. Can it be that the U@FRTF.DLL file is to blame? What is the correct version of this file do I need to have installed to support CR9? Is there an updated hot fix for CR9 available and is the "disappearing text" fix included in it?

Thanks,
gregoriw
