I'm working on re-writing a vector. What we are trying to acomplish is the following.

Client calls 800#. 800# routes to 4500 (currently an x ported station). 4500 has bridged appearances on station 4505 and 4509. If the call is not answered, 4500 covers to a vector 51. Vector 51 plays an announcement and collects 4 digits. I would then like to route to the extension using "route-to digits with cov y". The problem is since I covered once from 4500, I can't cover once I reach the extension.

So my question is this. Is there a way within a vector to ring a station, say 3 times, then move onto another step if the call isn't answered (therefore eleminating the initial coverage.)

Thanks for your help and suggestions in advance!

Do you have an Audix on this system? If so, here is one solution. Establish a mailbox for 4500 & cover to the audix huhnt group as your second point of cover instead of the VDn for vector 51. Make mailbox 4500 an auto attendant type & set the length of timeout to zero or as low as it allows (can't remember if zero is permitted, may have to use 1 second). Next put the VDN for vector 51 in the timeout field. In fact put it in all the fields for good measure, treatment "transfer". This means callers will hear "Please Wait" before entering the Vector as they pass through the Audix, no big deal. It will fool the system & allow the call routed in the vector & follow the coverage of the destination entered there. Of course it ties up VM ports for a short period, but I guess that depends on the traffic.

Hi Folks

just a quickie - does anyone know what requirements you must have to be able to use CCRON (call coverage return on no answer) is it R11 (Multivantage) or is it QSig Enhanced, or maybe something completely different
Thanks
Dawn
