Looking for DVD - need advice

Hi, im looking to get a DVD drive. I would like to know

1) what is the FASTEST DVD drive out there right now
2) what are good manufacturers of DVD drives
3) maybe you can even specify the model numbers of some good quality DVD drives.

One of the most recognized brands is the Pioneer 16x DVD drive (DVD-106S and DVD-116). I can't say it's currently the fastest, but it was when it was originally released. It has received multiple awards from various magazines and is found in many high-end systems today.

I've also heard that the NEC 16x drive is pretty decent as well (DV-5800A).
