Looking for an answer from MOREGELEN on this forum (Micros WS5 XPe image info)

Hi there

I'm working with a Micros WS5 terminal (NOT WS5e)

A user on this forum called Moregelen had posted a bios update a while back for this machine which allowed me to finally load XPe onto this thing.

I have managed to create a custom image from windows XP embedded but still have some issues. Is there any other BIOS updates available newer than this one? Also, would you be able to provide me with official micros drivers? I had to find 3rd party ones that sort of work.

Second, I was wondering if the WS5 ever came with Windows XP in the first place.

If anybody is interested in a guide I will write one. Easily put over 24hr of troubleshooting into this just because I couldn't give up.

No, the WS5's only came with WinCE.

Don't know if you know about this, but XP is going out of support, and therefore out of PCI compliancy, in April of 2014.
