I used to be a SBT Var. I haven't been in that line of work now for quite some time. So, I was wondering just what accounting software, running under VFP, is available with source code.

Please tell me what you like and why.

Thanks to all.

You could check out ACCPAC... oh wait... it's SBT again! No amount of stakes or garlic cloves can kill it! Seriously, I thought I heard that Sage had some foxpro stuff.

Hi,

I've written an accounting application in VFP7. It is still in beta, but it's about 95% ready to go. All the help files have not yet been written and some other minor fixes have been necessary to make it VFP7 ready. The application was originally written in FoxPro 2.5. I used the 2.5 version as a prototype for the current version. It has some interesting innovations that to my knowledge you will not find in any other accounting application.

I'm a little biased, but if you have the time you might give it a look. The full source code is available. The modest price make it a good value. You can download the program at If you visit my site be sure and sign up for the mailing list.
