Since we are using DHCP on the network, I was able to dig up a neat utility called "dchpcmd" from the NT Server Resource Kit. One of it's functions is that it allows you to dump the dhcp database contents to a text or csv file. This allows me to get the "quick and dirty" result I needed.
There is also a freeware program called "Net View" that will give you a nice GUI of the IP/MAC address and names of everything on the network. See
