hi

i am looking for a javascript that will show the current time on a web page. trouble is i need it to synchronise from the server that hosts the web and it also needs to be able to show GMT.

i have found loads of scripts that pull the time form the local pc that is showing it; but am struggling to find one that pulls it from the web server and also allows for me to edit the time zone to show gmt.

any ideas gratefully appreciated.

thanks

Unfortunately, this will not work. In order to get the server time, you have to use a server-side scripting language, like PHP, JSP or ASP (there are others as well). The JS runs at the client, and it has basically no idea whatsoever of any of the server's properties.
