Looking for a good Mail Program for NT

Hello,

We're currently using blat to send email from our site. It's used in guest books and other places. We are thinking about switching though. I've heard some stuff about cdonts which uses asp. Can anyone suggest some other simple applications (not necessarily ASP based) that might work? WE have MS Outlook installed as well, are there any mailers that work in conjunction with it? any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've installed MDaemon for many clients. Never any problems. Works right out of the box, and keeps on working. Easy to admin (very little ever needed), doesn't need much in the way of a box. Hell, it will run on Win98, though I've only ever run it on NT4.

I would have to agree with polymath5, MDaemon is a great package, I have used Lotus Notes and Exchange,OK MDaemon doesn't have as many "feature’s" as these two, but of ease of install, admin and use it wins hands down.

If you want simple POP3 solutions there is Mailgate, MDaemon, Vpop, there is also a mail server built into Winroute Pro (Winroute will handle SMTP also). All 4 of these need little or no administration once installed apart from adding users as required, Most of them can integrate with a NT Domain user list and Winroute has an advantage of remote administration and being a very good Software Router and Proxy server.
If you want to step up a level you are moving on to the likes Lotus Notes (Best if used with Smartsuite) and MS Exchange. These last 2 both need lots of TLC to keep them vertical.
