Is their any way that I can search for a file that is residing on a users computer on the network with out going to each machine (their are 60 computers)?

Server 2003
workstations xppro
2 remote sites with xppro.

Thanks in advance

Doug

You could map network drives to each computer and then search, probably archaic but it will get the job done.

you might also want to try this program:

Just started to play around with it, don't know how well it works though.

You could try to run a batch file query when the workstations login... via the login script... An IF EXIST statement should do the trick... get it to write the results back to a text file on the logon server NETLOGON share.

Stehazza Great Idea. I think that I'm going to use that also.

I tryed the program that Grymz sugested and I love it. I found the two files that I was looking for.

Thanks for you help

Doug
