IS-IT--Management
Hi everyone,
using W2K and have found that if I'm managing files that are perhaps around 3 or 4 folders deep, I'm getting an error telling me it can't copy the file, or if I'm saving, that it can't save the file.
It seems there is some kind of limit to the length of the path name of a file in W2K but surely this can't be true (or if it is, then it's hard to swallow).
I've tried to find some definitive info about this and would love to hear from anyone with info about any limitations around file names (and strategies to overcome this issue) - otherwise I guess it's time to overhaul my filing system and reduce the depth of my folders.
Cheers,
Pete
