I am looking for a solution that will impede online resources declared in IIS from being transferred to other computers. I want to make sure that the files cannot be cached/ saved/ downloaded by unauthorized surfers.

Does any one know of a solution??.

Please let me know

Two options really,

1/ authenticate everybody who needs access with a user name and password.

2/ don't put them there.

Chris.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?

I am also looking for a solution.

IMHO using a user name/pwd solution is primitive, as user names/pwds can be easily distributed over the net..and people can use them to download premium content from sites (i.e analyst reports/news sites that require a logon for PAID subsrcribers.)

Got any ideas of more of a foolproff solution?

I think Frank is right, in that after you authenticate someone he/she is free to do whatever he/she wants to do with the content.

I onced noticed a tool on SimTel called allrights

It appears to be something that may meet some of your needs.

Let me know how it works out
