I have a Windows 2000 Advanced server with one workstation connected for testing purposes.

For some strange reason, I can't get batch files to map network drives.

Not only do they not work when the user logs in, but even if the user double clicks the batch file nothing happens, just an ms-dos screen pops up for 1 second.

They will map if I browse direct to the folder, right-click and map it. In this case however, even if I tick the box saying "reconnect at logon" it doesnt.

Anyone help please?

I've solved problem. Didn't realise you needed to put the path in quotes!!!

Sorry for anyone who has been trying to help!

Glad you figured it out. Now time to step up what you are doing to the "modern era" and get rid of the batch files and use vbscript. Take a look at my FAQ on the subject.

I hope you find this post helpful.
