I have installed NT 4.0 server on a new machine and had to bail out of the network installation section due to incomplete drivers. I was just going to finish the install then go back and do the network setup (as I have many times in the past). This time though it will not let me logon , gives the error "unable to logon because the netlogon service has not been started". Anyway around this without re-installing?

It is because the LANMan settings in the registry are screwed.

Can you use the space bar at bootup to load a differnet profile?

At the logon stage try using a fake Domain name to see if to will give up trying to access the Domain and let you into NT. New Zealand, a great place to live.
