That might not work. Imagine if the user connects to a resource that's already logged in. No logon script runs. If they then disconnect (instead of logging off), then reconnect later, same issue applies.

This is true, my technique only works on login, not connection to an existing session. To bypass this you'd have to configure disconnected sessions to terminate automatically.
