how to put my company logo in to system property? What is the requament?

What exactly are you trying to do? Be a little more specific and we can probably help.

In the \Windows OR \Windows\System32 folder is a file called OEMlogo.bmp (If it is not there create one and save your logo as this file) It will display your Logo in system Properties. Also ther is a file called OEMinf.txt that you can edit with your Name and any Info you want to put there. Do a search for them and edit them. Hope this helps.

PS if you are unable to locate them, just create them and put them in one of the folders. You should see it in your System Properties screen when completed. James Collins

James,

Am I missing something, I just placed a suitable .bmp file and a text file in both locations (Win98), but nothing shows up, even after a reboot. I thought branding was only possible with Microsoft OEM Preinstall Kit?

Advice appreciated.

Doesn't the BMP file have to be the same resolution and colour depth as the original logo file?

The logo .bmp file cannot be any bigger than 96x96 for small fonts and 120x120 for large fonts I believe. The .bmp has to be names oemlogo.bmp and the .txt file has to be oeminfo.txt. They reside in the \windows\system folder. I am unaware of the fact that it HAS to be OEM products only. (I have not run into a problem as of yet.) I am part of MS System Builder Program so I dont deal with NON-OEM products. I could be wrong on that. I just dont remember I am sorry paulwood. :-(

But thats how it is done any way. I hope this will help you. James Collins
