Today, I experienced an error that I have never seen before. When a user logs in and their login script runs, they get the following error message when attempting to map a couple of drives:
Logon failure: The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.
The error code is 1385. Unfortunately, I have not found any useful information. There are very few Technet articles on this matter, but the only one I found that I thought might be helpful is Q249918. This article says to make sure the user does not have the "Access this computer from network" user right. However, the user is a member of a group that does have this right and giving this right to the individual user does not help.
The strangest part of this is that it only occurs in the login script and only for certain drive mappings, while other drive mappings to the same server work. After the user is logged in, drive mappings work fine. As a workaround, we have added the login script to the startup group and everything works as it should.
I am really stumped on this issue. I know I have a way to make it work, but I would really like to do this the correct way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
