We have 2 Windows 2000 Servers in our Network. All users log on to the Active Directory Server and their Login Scripts map them to this Server's Drives. They can't see the 2nd Server.

The 2nd Stand Alone Windows 2000 Server's sole job is to manage our Corporate Antivirus (Server) software.

Is there a way I can have a few select Workstations or Users automatically log on to this Server as well as the Active Directory Server?

Is the AV server a member of the domain?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Sorry, I didn't mention before. Yes, the AV Server is a member of the domain.

Then please better explain what you want to accomplish. Your users don't log into a server, they log into the domain which shares a common security database.

Are you simply looking to map drives to each server?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Sorry again. But that is exactly what I need to do. A select few Users will map to drives on both Servers.

Thanks for your patience

I'd go with a login script. I have an extensive FAQ on the subject. faq329-5798

I hope you find this post helpful.

If you have issues with seeing the member server on the domain, my guess is you have a static IP address on the member server. For static IP addresses, you will need to create static records in DNS and WINS so you can see the member server properly by its name.

Start, Help. You'll be surprised what's there. A+/MCP/MCSE/MCDBA
