Hey Guys,

I am experiencing logging In/Out issues and this has been ongoing for a while and is an intermittent issue.

The system specs are:

IPO 9.1.0.0 Build 437

Avaya 9608 IP sets.

The issue at hand is that when logging into a phone with a new user it will at random choose an existing users extension and log them out. Not only will it log them out it will reboot their phone as well.

Example
phone 1 xt201 up and working fine for the user
phone 2 xt203 up and working fine for the user

phone 3 xt216 base id is 216 (been logged in before only to 216)
Phone is unplugged and i plug it in. It boots up and now asks for an extension. i enter 216 and input the login code. Phone decides to randomly take over Phone 1 201 ID and boots phone 1 out and reboots their phone.

Now that phone 3 has NEVER had any association with 201 before this. Once it displays the stolen Identity of 201, now i log out and it logs back into 216 as 216.

Any ideas?

You need to do a CLEAR on all the handsets and once cleared log them in with the correct extn, you should not be logging the extn off for hotdesking just the user, it often makes sense to put the base extns for the IP phones out of range of the users and for digital phones delete them altogether ...if hotdesking around :-)
