Logging File Access by User??

Hi all -

Is there a way to log if a user has accessed a file? I know I turned auditing on and went into Event Viewer but it does not give me the name of the file the user accessed, just the fact that there was some activity.

Any ideas? Thanks!!

Yes it does.

If you look in the description for the logged event it gives full details of the file/folder.

If you need to search for a particular file, you can export the log to a text/csv file, & then search this file. It is not ideal, but it does work...
