does anyone know how to verify the current version of Log4J running on Session Manager?

I have all the documentation from Avaya telling us what patch we need and what files are required, but how do I see what my current version of Log4J is running on my ASM servers? does anyone know how to pull this from the CLI or the GUI?

thanks.

ignore the version of log4j and work with the version of session manager which can be viewed in SMGR - session manager dashboard

I can't ignore it. my management team is asking what the current version is, so I need to provide this info.

as for the Session Manager dashboard in SMGR, it doesn't help much.

If you are running any 8.x version of ASM patch it and then the issue is resolved.

dude, you're not helping. stop commenting on threads where you're not providing a solution...Tek-Tips posters are here to help. it's obvious you don't know how to help me. appreciate it if you bow out now.

I was trying to help but without the root password you cannot run the 'find' command on ASM to view log4j version in the filenames and it's not a simple app you can "show version"

With a simple bit of path browsing I found a jar file for log4j, the path is

/opt/Avaya/CommonServerPlatform/lib/jre/log4j-x.x.x.jar

My version is 1.2.6 but your filename will show yours.

Was it that difficult, perhaps try looking yourself before asking us to do your simple tasks for you

damn, that was helpful. thanks dude! appreciate that.

I asked Avaya and those bozo's told me to run swversion, which showed me nothing.

but this did help. thanks again. found out my server has the 2.16 Log4J version.
