I am using log shipping via database maintence plans within SQL 2000 environment. The copy job and restore job are failing on my secondary server. The average size of the log shipped trn files is approximately 1 - 3 mb. Once a week, we rebuild the indexes and a 3 or 4 gig trn file will get log shipped over. Today we implemented some archiving within the database, simply moving records around within the same database and filesystem to history tables. This created a one time 4 gig trn file. This file was successfully copied over, but now the restore jobs and copy jobs are failing. The odd part is that there is tuf file in the tran log directory. What is a tuf file and why did sql server create it?
