I have been having a nighmare trying to get my head around setting local policies to lock down a couple of PCs that are not going to be part of our domain. I have logged in as local admin and:

Created user called citrix (this user will auto logon and auto connect to a citrix server.

Set group policy to hide everything - desktop icons, start menu icons.... Everything....

Then logged out and back in as admin and back then logged out and logged in as Citrix user. Then logged out and back in as admin, copied the Registry.pol file and then opened group policy again and turned off all the restrictions and closed group policy. Copied the Registry.pol file back to %Systemroot%\System32\GroupPolicy\User as per the microsoft recommendations:

Logged off local admin and back on again. Logged off and back on as Citrix and no restrictions are in place.!!!!!!

This is slowly killing me!

The worst thing is that I have setup exactly the same thing on a dell gx270 and it works fine but I cannot get it to work on this gx280...

Any ideas much appreciated...
