Locked file error when updating book

When I try to update a book, I receive an error message stating that certain files are locked and can't be opened. I also get similar errors when I try to convert the book to PDF.

Could anyone please help with this? I have a screenshot of the error log if that would help.

Do you use software like SourceSafe? The file may not be logged out, but the book may be. All files need to be logged out if you use SourceSafe in my experience.



If sunflower oil comes from sunflowers, and vegetable oil comes from vegetables, where does baby oil come from?

You might also get locked errors if you had certain files open when FrameMaker crashed.

Try opening the files that give you the error. Some kind of dialog box should appear where you can reset the lock. *You should only reset the lock if you're sure that no one else is currently working in that file.*
