Lock tempdb database

Hi,

Can 2 users create temporary tables at the same time? It is true that we are locking the tempdb database each time we create temporary table?

Yes, two users can create temp tables at the same time.

Generally, tempdb will not be locked. However, there are some circumstances you should avoid. See the article, "Avoiding Bottlenecks with Temporary Tables" at
