Does anyone know where to locate the help files for activex controls? I am particularly interested in MScomm32.ocx. The name of the file (I believe) is comm98.chm. A search for a file of that name only turns up 3 files that contain that string.

That's the name of the help file on MY system. Try creating a form, dropping an ActiveX control on the form, selecting the control, and hitting F1 to see what help file pops up. The file is a standard Windows component, I believe...it's in the \winnt\help folder on my system.

To chpicker.

Thanks. Apparently comm98.chm is not included with Windows 2000 Professional. I could not find it on a Windows 95 machine either. Would you email it to me?

That CHM file should have been installed with your Visual Studio / Visual FoxPro install, IF you choose to install the optional activeX components.

I not only have it on Windows 2000, but I have 3 copies 2 with 1998 dates and one with a 2001 date. One is in the WinNT folder and the othertwo are in MSDN folders and came with Visual Studio 6 and VFP 7 respectively.
