Locating disconnected ports

Is there any way to list digital ports where the instrument has been disconnected?

Not so much as a list command...but if you do a "test station XXXX" it will abort on test 16 & 17.

In your alarm log you can also see the phonesets that give a warning. When you do a "status station XXXX" you will see the status of the phone. If it will be "disconnected" or "no hardware assigned". A connected set (digital) will show you a status either "in-service/idle" or "in-service/active".
It is hard to be sure of the staus of analog sets though.

I was hoping for something that would list ALL of the disconnected ports rather than having to do status station on all of them.

I not aware that there is a report that will show you this info but... there is a 99,9999 % change that a station is just disconnected when the station is in the alarm report.

So, DISP ALARMS will be the best one to use.
I know, this is not what you are looking for but can't think of anything else.

Are you just looking for ports that are x-ported, or are you looking for extensions that have port addresses but no phone on the other end? If your looking for extensions that do not have port addresses (x-ported)type "li conf all" this will give you the big picture of whats open. Look!!! New Buttons

I'm looking for stations with ports defined but with no physical instrument attached.

Well you could say your up dating the company phone list and inventory so you would like ever manager to report back with name, extension and asset tag number of ever phone in there department. As far a one command I have never heard of one. Sorry Look!!! New Buttons

You don't have to check the status of all the phones, just the ones that have a warning in the alarm log.

It's not all phones with a warning. Just the one's with a warning and Service State of "RDY". It's pretty easy to use the report feature in DSA to do a "disp alarm" and save it to a file. Open the file in excel and isolate all digital types with RDY as the service state. Now that you have your list in a nice spreadsheet, you can import it back to DSA to remove the sets.

go to disp errors and on the first page put 18 into the error part, this will list all disconnected equiptment
