VS2005 project with AP Vendor OCX. Got this error when try to run within IDE. "Localized resources aren't available. Localized resource DLL missing:ACCPACAP1200ENG.dll".

Is Accpac installed on that PC? What version?

yes, local install. version 56 pu3

Have you ever clicked on that icon in Accpac, or run Regacc?
Have you ever had multiple versions of Accpac installed?

I ran Regacc.
I had 60 on that machine. I uninstalled it and re-installed 56 since the project requires 56.
Native accpac screen, e.g. apvendor, seems to be working fine.

If you're a developer, you should be using virtual machines.

Check your registry for multiple versions of ACCPACAP1200, and delete the keys that don't belong. And check the registered components in your IDE.

Got it fixed. I had to un-intall accpac, delete the accpac program folder and data folder, clean up registry, then re-install accpac and pu3 to get it to work. It seems that multiple versions of accpac in history on a machine caused registry problem.

Which proves my previous post. You should using VMWare (or similar).

from Oracle for years. It's free and less resource hungry than VMWare.
