Local Login Vs. Remote Login

I just installed DB2 Enterprise Server Edition 8.1.0 on my windows 2000 box. I installed it under a local login. When I try to login to my domain and use the DB2 tools, it takes literally 20 minutes to bring up command center for example. I believe it's going out to my domain to look for a server somewhere. When I unplug my ethernet cable, the command center appears immediately. Is there a way I can make DB2 ONLY look at my machine or look at my machine FIRST. I don't want it going out over the domain. I am doing development work on my own workstation.
