Hello All,

I am trying to reload one of my test servers and I am having a horrible time. This is a Dual Processor XEON with 2 gig of ram 40 gig drive cd-rom,floppy. When it starts to load Novell and going through its checklist it beeps and then restarts automaticaly. Anyone ever run into this and find a work around?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what make off server?

are you loading anything in autoexec and config sys
we dont want anything in here except buffers and files
we dont want cdroms , memory managers etc

also what version of netware - remember novell isnt a product - it's the company name

Hello Terry712

Well this is a clean install. I have since found the problem. It is the server.nlm. What I had to do was download the Netware 6 sp2 overlay image and install it that way. There seems to be a problem with certain boards and the server.nlm file in the original Novell Netware release.

There are ways to go around getting it installed by copying files, but it is much easier to download the image and install from there. The only thing is that you have to go back and install iMangage from the original disk and any other modules that the image did not install.

And yes, I know Novell is the company name.[neutral]
