Loading Java applet w/XP

I am trying to load a Java applet from a web site.
I get the error message “can not connect to server”
I have disabled my firewall, the ports this applet
runs on are available and I have all the Java enabled.
I have all the plug-ins I need. There is nothing wrong
on my ISP’s side. Nothing wrong on the website side.
Any ideas?
