I have just amended my small web site using Dreamweaver 4. I have changed the main index page by removing all the layers and putting in a centred table instead. All the links work fine, but it's made the site load-up time very slow and hangs up - not just in the main index page, but also the rest of the site (of which I haven't) amended. If you refresh the page a different set of images appear every time (the ones which didn't load before), sometimes the background loads, other times it doesn't. i haven't added anything extra to the page, if anything, taken a couple of things off.
Thanks in advance.

First:

Why are you using a frameset when you are only calling one page?

Overwrite frameset with this page:
Second:
You are about 30K over the recommended max page weight of 40K.

You need to compress these graphics BIG TIME:
Size Images
17,458 images/Pics/lfegolf/golflogosmall.gif
16,539 images/Pics/redcow/savechip.JPG
15,061 images/Pics/redcow/redcowlogo.gif
10,037 images/Pics/eighties/astley.gif

You can download a free version of Paint Shop Pro from download.com. This software has a good compression tool in it. Mike Barone

Thanks for your time Mike, images size review in hand.

Also, the frameset is a web diversion thing from redcowfc to homepage... easier to remember for the team!

Thanks again.
