load quarxpress and annoying quicktime window appears

When I start quarkxpress (in windows) an annoying quicktime window appears and won't go away until I click on it to either open it or cancel it.

Anyone know how to stop quicktime coming up?

Any help appreciated

Can you describe the quicktime window? Is it asking to open or install something?

what I get is this

'Quicktime is missing software required to perform this operation. Unfortunately, itis not available on the Quictime server'
