I have Norton's anti virus and Norton internet security. I also have cable internet service. Lately when I try to do the Live Update I get a message telling me that an automatic connection to the internet cannot be established. I can get onto the internet with no problem when I click on Internet Explorer. Does anyone know why this would happen. It is not a one time thing because I have tried it for about 2 weeks.

You might try launching Norton Anti-Virus - the program - and selecting Live Update. If the program does not see a good connection, it should launch the connection wizard so you can configure it for live update see your cabel connection when it needs to.

If that doesn't work, try going to the Symantec site and checking out their support documents. I've ususally been able to find what I need on their site.

Good Luck.

Start>Programs>Norton System Works>Norton Anti Virus>Live Update Settings. You should be able to configure for your settings.
