Dear FoxPro Users,
I'm using FoxPro 6. I'm using MS-Listview Control Version 5 (SP2). It seems like many method and property doesn't work in Fox. I try it use checkboxes,gridlines,...etc.
SimpeList requres VFP 7.0, but only because of a few shortcuts I took with ASCAN() and the like. You are free to borrow the ideas for getting the Listview to work with 6.0.
You will find probably one of the best examples of using a listview in VFP. Be forewarned that it uses the Listview Control - version 6.0 SP(4), but I figure it may give you some idea of where you are going wrong with the Listview Control - Version 5 SP(2). And you may want to consider using the version 6 listview rather than the one you are using now, unless you have specific requirements that are making you use the older listview control.
TOOLS - OPTIONS - CONTROLS (tab) and you will see a list of all the controls that are registered on your system. Scroll down through the list and look for "Microsoft Listview Control 6.0 (SP4)" put a check mark next to it and then click OK button. Now go up to your Form Controls toolbar and click on the little books that are at the far left of it (next to pointer)...drop-down will give you option of "ActiveX Controls". You should now see the Listview control and you can just add it to your form like any other control.
