lists acrost multiple columns of table 1

Hi,

I know I remember seeing this somewere but just can't lock it down.

If I have a list containing lots of records, which only list a few bits of information each, How can I automaticly wrap the records to go into a second and maybe even a third column accoss a table?

I don't always know the exact number of records... And no this is not a homework assigmnet ;-)

would be something like this, in a table.

Department1:
Person, Phone | Person, Phone | Person, Phone
Person, Phone | Person, Phone | Person, Phone
Person, Phone | Person, Phone

Department2:
Person, Phone | Person, Phone | Person, Phone
Person, Phone | Person, Phone | Person, Phone
Person, Phone

Department3:
Person, Phone | Person, Phone | Person, Phone
Person, Phone | Person, Phone

it wouldn't take much of a modification to make it do this. two lines if i remember correctly.
