List only the first and last records in the detail section for each gr 1

Hi there,

I develop crystal reports and am using the 8.5 version of it. I wld appreciate any help if you can point me in the direction of how to get my report to display only the first and last records in the detail section for each client within a specified group.
Scenario:
The data is grouped by region, then by client no ( masterNo) and then there are hundreds of records for this particular client. I wld like the report to just show me the first and last records for all these clients. Is there a way to do this. I am aware of the TOP N..But suspect it is for groups etc.. I am interested , like i said, in the details showing me the first record which wld contain the start date of treament and the last record which wld be last date of treatment for any given client.

Any help wld be greatly appreciated.

Place all your details information in the group header. Repeat the process in the group footer. Suppress the details section. Order by treatment date, and you should have what you're asking for.
