Does anyone know of a way to extract a list of mapped printers that multiple W2K clients are using? Specifically, I'd like to find all W2K clients on my LAN that are mapped to a particular shared printer hanging off an NT4 server.

Example: All Workstations that have a mapped connection to shared printer "servername\printername" or "printername on servername".

I have a printer I need to take away from the site but want to know how many users have it mapped before I do the job..

Thanks.

Question might be better in NT or 2k server forum (depending what sort of domain you're running) - eg, Server Manager in NT server.

I would use the rundll32 printui facility and push a batch file through group policy and remove the mappings.

This is easily scripted. This article discusses XP but I believe this works fine on Win2k:
A good discussion of the next problem, adding a printer with rundll32: thread779-581142
