running Mandriva on a laptop, anyone know the install proc for procomm? packages etc.. or point me to a site that might have the steps.. 3 days of google, 11 million results, zero answers

John, do you mean pcomm or whatever the freeware terminal emulator from a while back was called? Or are you trying to run Procomm under a Windows emulator?

 
trying to get procomm (or anything that runs aspect scripts) to work on linux.. i'm not married to a mandriva. i was trying to use wine as a emulator but put it on the back burner.. these clowns at work want me to complete a project that actually requires thinking.. (slaved rivers)..

My suggestion, learn Perl or a similar language and recreate your aspect scripts on Linux.

Of course, depending on how complicated your scripts are, that is probably a major chore.
