Linux Workstation can't access net

Hello:

I have a tcp/ip network setup at home and I just added a linux workstation. I have it setup so it uses a gateway (ISDN router) to get to the net.

I can surf via a browser, but when I try to ping I don't get anything. Same with telnet.

Any ideas?

hi scotta,

u can't ping within ur local network?? 192.168.0.1 is ur gateway m/c. It _must_ be possible for u to ping inside ur lan atleast.

for outside (u haven't given entire o/p of netstat Iface's were needed) the last line should be pointing to the interface going out..

I have given you all the netstat data that was displayed.
the last line:

0.0.0.0 192.168.0.1 0.0.0.0 UG

is pointing to the gateway out ... If you see something that is wrong with it, let me know. Maybe an example of how it should look would be good.

I have narrowed it down a bit more. Basically, If I am on one of my Windows machines, I can ping the Linux machine and I can telnet to it. but, if I'm on the linux machine I cannot ping or telnet even to my internal network (the windows machines). I can, however, surf the net using Netsacpe.

Any ideas?
