Is there ODBC facilities on Linux?

I am writing a piece of software (in Java) that will have a JDBC connection to an Access database, however, I would really like the ability to port this system to a linux platform, but am unsure as to the available options for database connectivity on Linux.

Advice and knowledge is welcome.

Postgres is a free open source DB that runs on linux and supports ODBC.
