When I send a job to an hp laser printer in Linux 4 I CAN get the job to print but when I do an "lpstat -t" on the printer I get...
printer laser is idle. enabled since Jan 01 00:00
Print file sent, waiting for printer to finish...

It doesn't seem like a major issue because I can continually send job after job, it was more of a curiosity issue of why it continues to say it is waiting.
Is this an issue with the printer moreso than the OS?

If it was a one page print job, it may be waiting for a form feed. The printer properties options may provide
for an form feed to be added to jobs.

that helped, thanks.
