Linksys Wireless connection says: "not connected"

I have a Linksys Router, Model BEFW11S4 and on my DELL Laptop computer with WINXP I have a Linksys Wireless-B Notebook Adapter Model WPC11,Vers.4.
The "link" light is not on, but the other one "power" is on.
On the Network conmnection screen, the Local Connection with cable is shown as "connected" and as working (Broadcom 440x10/100 Integrated.
But the wireless connection is shown as "working properly" but it has a red cross across it and a kind of a padlock.
The status screen shows as: Wireless Network connection as "not connected", but as Firewalled.
The MAC Network bridge says: connected,firewalled and working...
The MAC bridge also says: IP address 192.168.1.101
and assigned by DHCP, IPv6 enabled.
I tried a hundred things under the sun to connect it, but to no avail. What did I do wrong?
Your help would be very much appreciated.

Remove the bridge.
1. Click Start, right-click My Network Places, and then click Properties to open Network Connections.
2. In Network Connections, right-click Network Bridge, and then click Disable.
3. Right-click Network Bridge again, and then click Delete. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete the network bridge.

Thank you for your prompt answer.
I did exactly what you suggested, I remove the MAC bridge, but unfortunately the red cross in the "Wireless Network connection" is still there. It still says:
Not connected, firewalled, Wireless-B Notebook Adapter.

I also tried to "repair" the connection and it said: trying the reapir the connection and after a while, it said: could not establish a connection. contact your system administrator.

What else should I do?

To Bcastner:
I found the answer to my dilemma:
I logged on to

http://www.linksys.com/support

and found a perfect site called "Linksys Easy Connect"
which gives you an automatic installation for Wireless
Network Adapters (for 10 different models for Linksys).
10 minutes later, my wireless network connection was working
perfectly!
