Hi there,

Can anyone tell me how I can find out about the liks within a workbook?

Basically, I have come to a new company that is not the most organized, and some of the excell files when opened ask if you want to update the other workbook that is linked to the current one. Now we are finding that we need to know what they are linked to.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Correction, how can you delete the link between workbooks, is there a way other than renaming the file and deleting the old one?

So microsoft didn't think of putting in a link tracer then.

thanks, I shall keep a note of the site, but where I am working right now, we can't download anything so they can have all their defunkt link boxes popping up all over the place.

Regards
rob

In that case in Excel 2002 you can go to Edit/Links. It will show you generally where the links are and will allow you to get rid of them. I'm not sure about other versions. Another way to find them is to use Edit/Find and search formulas for the character "[".

Eric
