I have a simple website with a link to an Adobe Acrobat .PDF document. If the end-user has the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, the document opens fine. However, if the end-user does not have the Adobe Acrobat reader installed, the web browser will prompt them to 'open' or 'save' the file. If the end user chooses 'open' it obviously will not open becuase they do not have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.

So, how can I modify my web page code so that it will detect if the end-user has the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed and available, and optionally promt them to install it if they do not already have it?
