Linking Tables Problem

I have a database that I setup to pull data (snapshot) from our Oracle server using ODBC. Every night it take a snapshot of some of the important tables so that I can use them in access.
I had it on a computer in my office that ran the update every night with no problem. The higher-ups along with the IT department wanted to move all of my databases onto a server in the computer room. I did all of that and also installed all of the ODBC drivers.
The problem I am having is this. Once it was on the new server, it will not run the update and it gives me an ODBC error. I went to Tools, Database Utilities, Linked Table Manager and updated all of the links. Everything worked fine until I close out to the database. When I go back in it gives me the same error and I have to re-link the tables again.
Any idea how I can fix this???

Thanks in advance.

try putting a

macro called

"autoexec" in the database and program the macro to delete exsisting table links and then relink them

i use this process, for a user table on my databases.

our staff turn around is high so this simple relinking of tables helps me consideratly.

especially as i have over 600 databases on show

Thanks for the response. I think I forgot to add something. I link about 20 Oracle tables to Access and then I run a “Make-Table” on all of them to get 20 tables. From there I generate reports. But every time I close access, I lose the ODBC link. So when I open the database it gives me a ODBC error. I relink using Linked Table Manager the Oracle tables and everything is fine. I think what I am going to have to do is go to file, attach and relink all of the tables that way.

Thanks Again
