Linking multiple fields in one Oracle table to 1 field in another Orac

I am creating a CR, using version 8.5. I need to create a summary report that looks like this:

Customer_id

last pledge date last pledge amt last pledge source
last gift date last gift amt last gift source
first pledge date first pledge amt first pledge source
first gift date first gift amt first gift source

I need to link the source codes from this table to the source code table, in order to display the source description. This will be multiple links to the same field from the source table. Is this possible, or will I have to create multiple detail sections and link the tables in each section?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You haven't provided the actual field names, so it's hard to tell what you need to do. If you have another field which designates "gift" or "pledge" and there is only one date field, one amount field, and one source field, you only need one link to the source codes table. If the gift and pledge fields are different, then add the source codes table twice, using an alias the second time, and then link one to the pledge source field and one to the gift source field.

I'm guessing that you will be pulling the "first" and "last" fields based on date, and that they are not actually separate fields. However, if they are, then add the source code table twice more to allow for the additional links.

I'm not sure what you are asking. You can link more than one field from one table to another. You can also add the same table twice, and link it to another field. When you add the table again, Crystal will append a 1 to the name and it will be treated like another table. Here's an example:

Customers Codes
Code 1 Code
Code 2 Code description

Codes1
Code
Code description

If you link the Code in the Codes table to Code 1 in the Customers table, the description in the Codes table will be used for Code 1 in your report. If you link Code in Codes1 table to Code 2 in the Customers table, the code description will be used for Code 2. If that's what you are asking.
