I am linking a number of Excel (2202) worksheets to a master worksheet. One of the columns in the master worksheet contains hyperlinks which aren't linking over as hyperlinks. I need them to do so. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

DPillo,

Do you mean that the hyperlink column is in the Master Sheet, but when you link from some other sheet to the hyperlink column is in the Master Sheet, you don't get a hyperlink?

Please explain.

Yes. The hyperlinks are in Column B in the master worksheet (Sheet 1). I am linking to Sheet 2 (in the same workbook) and they are not linking over as hyperlinks into Sheet 2 - only appearing as text.

Below is what I am doing:
I am chosing the row (activating the entire Row 2) and my first cell is actually activated by default. I am entering = in the formula line and then toggling over to the master worksheet (Sheet 1) and clicking on the row I want to link it to (Row 14). I then go back to Sheet 2 and Fill Right from the first cell. All the info comes over and is updated when I change the master worksheet except hyperlinks appear only as text.

That's how links work. You JUST get VALUES.

Thanks again for being so prompt.
However, I have been trying to apply your tip and am having trouble. Could you be more specific? I have also be searching to additional info and have not been able to find anything.

It is just as I stated.

When you LINK to a cell that contains a hyperlink, you get the VALUE that is DISPLAYED in that cell. When you look at the hyperlink column is in the Master Sheet in ROW 14, THAT VALUE is the value that will be displayed on your other sheet.

OMG! Ohhhh!!! I am SOOOO sorry. I was reading WAY too far into your initial answer. LOL.. I get it now...

So, I won't be able to get an actual hyperlink because links only "transfer" over values... a picture of what is in that field and not, in this case, an actual link.

Thank you for your patience and your time. I sincerely appreciate it. My co-worker doesn't (lol), but we'll make due.

Thank you.

You can still have a hyperlink to the desired cell as well as the data, you go about this the way you already have done by typing = & then your destination i.e. In cell A1 in Sheet 1 you have =sheet2!A1 to bring in that result.
Now you will also need to do this.
Insert, Hyperlink, Place in this document, Sheet 2, Cell reference A1.
This will result in having the value and a selectable Hyperlink to the original data

PJ,

Your method of inserting a hyperlink to a place in this document only Activates the sheet and Selects the cell in the link. It does not OPEN the original hyperlink.
