Is it possible to link to one specific PowerPoint slide from a web page? When a link is clicked I want the PowerPoint slide to open on a particular slide.

Put #slidenumber at the end of the Powerpoint presentation name in your URL. For example:

c:\presentations\example.ppt#3

Would open slide #3 in that presentation.

Hope that helps,

I tried putting #slide at the end of the url and that does not work. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help

Okay, I am not exactly sure why you want to do this, but I do have a couple suggestions to get around it if you find no other way.

I guess I am assuming that you own the powerpoint presentation, is this true? If so, I would save the page you want users to go to:

1. As the first page of the presentation, or
2. as its own .ppt document.

If you need the users to have access to the complete presentation, and don't want the linked page to be at the beginning of the document, get creative with links between powerpoint files.

What's the URL you used? If you do NOT put #slide at the end does the presentation open? What version of PPT are you running?
